MESIT showed tactical communication systems at tri-service fair IDEX in Abu Dhabi, UAE
MESIT participated in IDEX, the largest trade fair of its kind, held in the city of Abu Dhabi, UAE, last week. MESIT presented its systems of tactical communication as part of the OMNIPOL Group along with ERA, Aircraft Industries, AERO Vodochody and numerous other Czech companies at the national stand displaying the results of defence industry in the Czech Republic.
MESIT has introduced its Radio system RF40, VICM 200 COMBAT Intercom System, headsets and VICM 300 Battlefield Announcement System. ERA presented the functionalities of its proven PET systems VERA-NG and over the horizon system PLESS, AERO focused on the brand-new training jet plane Skyfox, Aircraft Industries showed the new version of famous commuter L 410 NG. Their presentations were part of the official stand and programme of Czech delegation at IDEX and NAVDEX exhibition show.
MESIT team and its colleagues from OMNIPOL Group welcomed many guests, namely His Excellence the Czech Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Josef Koutský. They discussed the forms of future cooperation with the representatives of official delegations and various institutions, a number of local and foreign partners, including prominent personages such as the sheiks, i. e. members of the ruling UAE family.
The officials of the Czech Embassy in Abu Dhabi, the Czech Ministry of Defence, the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade, CzechTrade, CzechInvest and the Defence and Security Industry Association supported the Czech producers and organized several events.
IDEX (International Defence Exhibition and Conference) and NAVDEX (navy part) trade shows are organized at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) biennially. The prestigious five-day events this year visited by 206 thousand+ visitors and around 1,560 companies from over 65 countries, are aimed at demonstrating technologies from the land, sea and air sectors of defence.
The central location of the United Arab Emirates within the Middle East attracts visitors from each of the GCC (UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia), North Africa and the Asian Subcontinent countries. There are also officials and decision makers from Europe, Americas and Australasia. The official delegations include individuals from Defence Ministers, Chiefs of Staff and Army, Navy and Airforce Commanders.
